Merrill Gardens to Host Talent Show & Benefit Dinner, Nov. 14

All Proceeds will be donated to PUGET SOUND HONOR FLIGHT

Merrill Gardens at Kirkland will honor the week of Veterans Day by hosting a resident talent show and benefit dinner in support of Puget Sound Honor Flight.

The dinner is open to the general public for a minimum $10 donation.

All money collected will be donated to Puget Sound Honor Flight.

Since 2005, Honor Flight’s mission has been to “transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.”  Honor Flight’s current priority is to provide “one last mission” for those aging World War II veterans who wish to visit the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifice. It is currently estimated that approximately 1,000 WWII veterans die each day.

On November 14th, during the week of Veterans Day, Merrill Gardens at Kirkland will host a talent show and fundraiser dinner open to family, friends and the general public. The talent show will feature performances by some of Merrill Gardens’ talented senior residents.  The event will also feature door prizes and a no-host bar.  All food and labor will be donated by Merrill Gardens.  Also on display will be a handmade memorial quilt created by residents of Merrill Gardens in honor of our veterans.
