The Cotton Hill Park stairs are heavily used by elementary and junior high kids, as well as by walkers and joggers. Volunteers are adding interim steps to make them safer. We need help to set and spike stairs, haul gravel, and weed. It's a ton of fun, and it's in the shade. Community service hours are available. The stairway is part of a trail system that includes the recently-completed stairs at the south end of Crestwoods Park.
Work parties are currently scheduled for Wednesdays, August 21 and 28, from 9 am to 3 pm. Come for any portion.
Bring gloves and water, wear sturdy shoes, and we can use extra wheelbarrows. Questions? KirklandHighlands@gmail.com.
