A passerby stops, smiles and exclaims, "how cute!" on Saturday as she examines The Cow And The Coyote statue at Lake and Central in downtown Kirkland. From the sight of things, it looks like Easter bonnets and bunny ears are in fashion this season. Local volunteers (with large wardrobes) dress up the iconic statue for various holidays throughout the year. Their whimsical work is a labor of love and just one example of what makes our community so special.
We say, thank you. And Happy Easter.
