The LWHS Robotics Club needs your help to raise funds to send its team members to the 2013 VEX Robotics World Championship in Anaheim, CA from April 17 - 20. Your financial assistance is much appreciated.
The GOAL is to raise $6000 in three weeks. Please consider making a contribution.
The Lake Washington High School Robotics Club won the Washington State VEX Robotics Championship Saturday March 2, 2013 at Redmond High School. The Raging Robots competed against sixty other teams from around the Northwest. This was a hard fought battle against some previous world championship teams. The Raging Robots did a masterful job of not only building a competitive robot for the tournaments, but also did a fantastic job writing the software to control the robot. A small team, in one year they have gone from team start-up to Washington State VEX Champions. This is quite an accomplishment in its own right. With the Washington State Division Win comes an invitation to the VEX Robotics World Championships in Anaheim CA. The club will compete with and against as many as 400 teams from around the world. This is proof of the team's accomplishments in designing, building and programming a competitive robot on a low budget. With a small core of members showing up for all the meetings, they struggled with funding their passion. They have managed to have enough money to get by and have learned to make what they have work. The invitation to the World event is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these students to shine on a Global Stage. Their determination, good organizational skills, and the STEM based education they have been exposed to shows what a small, less experienced, and underfunded team can do.
Please help send the LWHS Robotics Club to the 2013 VEX Robotics Wold Championship in Anaheim, CA.
