Council to consider allowing more dwelling units than allowed under current zoning
Current Zoning Regulation Section 162.60 specifies under what circumstances a multifamily building with more dwelling units than allowed under the current zoning must be brought into conformance. The Kirkland City Council will hold a public hearing on January 2, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 123 5th Avenue to consider allowing remodeling or redevelopment of multifamily structures with nonconforming density, including the expansion of those structures, consistent with existing zoning, without bringing the density into conformance. The City Council may take action on the proposal by ordinance, immediately after the public hearing.
Written comments may be submitted to the City Council, 123 5th Avenue, Kirkland WA 98033-6189 up to and during the City Council hearing on January 2. You are also welcome to offer your testimony at the hearing.
