Kiddie Academy of Kirkland Hosts Grand Opening Fall Festival Event

Local educational child care facility celebrates its arrival in the community

Kiddie Academy of Kirkland, a local child care provider and newly opened business in the community, held its grand opening Fall Festival event on October 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It was held at the academy, located in Kirkland’s Rose Hill neighborhood at 12620 NE 85th Street.

The event featured a bounce house, arts and crafts, pumpkin painting, face painting and refreshments. The event had terrific attendance with over 40 families from the community in attendance. A ribbon-cutting event was held at 10:00 a.m. where the owners and staff officially commenced the opening of the academy.

"The grand opening festival was a tremendous success. It was terrific to be able to meet families from our community and introduce them to the Kiddie Academy brand and philosophy," said Raman Thind, owner of the new academy. "We believe that it’s extremely important to foster bonds between not only our educators and children, but between educators and parents, academies and the local community; this event helped facilitate that goal."

Kiddie Academy of Kirkland provides infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten programs. It is a brand new facility equipped with new equipment, innovative technology and secure webcams for parents. It features age-appropriate playgrounds, certified and trained staff and on-site owners. The academy offers wholesome meals, cooked onsite using local & naturally grown ingredients, served family style. Several healthy vegetarian options are also on the menu. Several enrichment and foreign language immersion programs are also offered. All these areas are designed to prepare children for school and for life.

Kiddie Academy, founded in 1981, began with the idea to combine learning with child care, and a commitment to be a leader in the industry. Thus, they created Life Essentials®. Life Essentials is Kiddie Academy’s educational philosophy based on four pillars: developmentally appropriate curriculum, character education, technology education, and health and fitness that together help prepare children for life. According to Claire Haas, vice president of education, the program emphasizes learning through play and the development of the whole child.
