Wednesday afternoon September 19th, the subject that was shot by a Kirkland Officer late Monday night was released from Harborview Medical Center following surgery and medical observation. The King County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Task Force, who is handling the investigation, placed Joseph K Rundlette (age 25) under arrest for Robbery and Assault 1st Degree. Rundlette was immediately transported to the King County jail where he was booked on those charges. The case will been filed with the King County Prosecutor’s Office later this afternoon. The Kirkland Officer remains on paid Administrative Leave as the investigation continues, which is routine for officer involved shootings. It is expected that Rundlette will make his first court appearance this afternoon or tomorrow, Friday September 21st.
