Wednesday, July 4, 2012

7:30 - 9:00 AM

We need 8 parade staging volunteers to stake and sign participant numbers for the parade. This is when we mark the spots for the parade entries. We have the tools and twelve years of experience!

8:00 - 9:30 AM

Decorate the Town. We need 12 volunteers to join us at 8:00 to put the final touches on downtown with streamers and balloons. Bring a ladder!

9:30 AM - 12:00 Noon

We need 10 volunteers to help with Children’s Decorating at the Marina Park Pavilion. You will make tattoos and help decorate the kids and their bikes. Then we need walkers in the parade to help make sure no one wanders off.

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

We need 8 Parade Staging volunteers with a 'take no prisoners’ attitude to help all those parade entries find their spots in the lineup, an organized, fast-thinking-on-your-feet person likes this fast and furious job. It requires a pre meeting, (6PM Friday night) at the Grape Choice for radio instruction and logistics.

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM-ish Front Row Seats!!

We need about 50 of you to be Parade Route Monitors to keep things running smoothly while the parade is going on. We’ll have a quick training session before the parade. This is one of our most important and most fun opportunities.

1:30 PM - 2:15 PM

Barricade Pick Up – We need 5 people with trucks and 5 people to help pick up. This takes less than an hour and makes clean up so much easier the next day.

Tuesday, July 5, 2012

8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

We need 10 volunteers to come and help clean up Marina Park and the Parade Route. It goes quickly and is a great way to rehash the 4th of July stories from the day before.
