Kirkland Fire, Police Respond to Car/House Collision and Fire

Occupant awaken from car crashing into bedroom


Around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, the Kirkland Fire and Police Departments responded to a incident involving a vehicle colliding with a residence at the 12300 block of 105th Place NE.  The vehicle ignited after hitting the rear corner of the house and coming to rest in the back yard.  Three persons were involved in the accident; two were transported to Evergreen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the occupant of the home hit by the car was released at the scene.  The Kirkland Police Department is investigating the cause of the traffic accident.   Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $40,000; damage to the structure and contents is estimated at $30,000.
