Zero One Vintners Opens in Downtown Kirkland

[scrollGallery id=201] Sunday was the opening day for Zero One Vintners, a new tasting and retail wine shop in Downtown Kirkland. The contemporary decor, furnishings and open floor plan of Zero One makes good use of a space which might go unnoticed if walking by quickly. Keep an eye out for signage which leads you around the corner from Lake Street and downstairs to the only winemaker in downtown. The shop is located on the alley between Lake Street and Anthony's Homeport.

Founded in 2006 by Kirkland natives Kristin and Thomas Vogele, Zero One Vintners has received high marks in the industry, including a 91 rating from Wine Spectator for the 2009 Golden Delicious Riesling, listed as one of the top 100 outstanding values.

The husband-and-wife team brings more than 20 years of experience in the wine industry to their boutique wine business. The result of their experience and passion are wines created in a distinctly unique and elegant style. They have focused on making a limited number of wines from the Columbia and Walla Walla Valleys, and delivering exceptional quality for the price.

Zero One partners with Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and Education, a non-profit out of Boulder Colorado.  In addition, Zero One Vintners is the first winery, worldwide, to use Microsoft's "Tag" technology on our bottles.

We recommend you stop by the shop and say hello to downtown's newest merchants, Thomas and Kristin. Take a space at the bar and enjoy a taste of the wine offerings of Kirkland's newest winery, Zero One.

Welcome to town!
