Dear Kirkland parents and kids,
The recent tragic car crash that took the life of 43 year old Steve Lacey has left an unimaginable loss for his wife, Nabila and children Julian, 7, and Jasmine, 5. The hearts and prayers of all who knew Steve and his family go out to them in this time of need.
Blair Jordan and her fellow swim instructors have befriended the Lacey family as Julian and Jasmine have been avid attendees of swimming lessons at the Peter Kirk Park Pool this season. Jordan and friends have organized a fundraiser to benefit the children. The fundraiser is The Goldfish Rodeo, a fun-filled event in which children can catch a goldfish to take home, get their face painted and enjoy baked goodies made by the swimming instructors. The fundraising event will be held this Friday, August 5, 2011 from noon to 3 p.m. at 112 Lake Street South in downtown Kirkland.
All proceeds will benefit the Children's Memorial Trust of Steve Lacey.
Please bring your kids and support this most worthy of causes.
Thank you for your consideration,
