In honor of Memorial Day, Kirkland's Cow and Coyote statue (on the corner of Lake Street and Central Way) has a new costume along with a message that reads, "THX VETERANS." Each holiday, local residents anonymously decorate the statue in the center of downtown.
Quirky? Yes. Does it show pride in our community? Absolutely. We say, well done!
The Cow and The Coyote is Kirkland’s version, albeit smaller and less well-known, of the Fremont Waiting for the Interurban.
