Good things have been happening at Finn Hill's Bella Vita Italian Ristorante. On April 1st, the restaurant reopened with longtime restauranteurs Carlos Kainz and Julie Guerrero at the helm. The two formerly operated Dulces Latin Bistro in Madrona and have a good reputation for making customers feel welcome.
A friend recommended we stop by and try out the new menu which features a large selection of wines, small plates and Italian regional dishes. Being big fans of Italian food, we immediately made plans to check out Bella Vita.
We are not restaurant critics, nor do we pretend to be. That said, we very much enjoyed the service, our meal and the local, family restaurant atmosphere. Our selection of Ossobuco alla Lombarda, was the perfect dish for that cold and rainy Monday night.
My wife and I found the 40 seat restaurant surprisingly busy for a Monday and noticed several people drop by for take out orders on their way home from work. Bella Vita located on Juanita Drive, in the heart of Finn Hill.
We welcome Carlos and Julie to Kirkland and we look forward to returning again soon.
