Volunteers Needed for park restoration at Juanita Bay Park Thursdays noon to 2pm

Longtime park advocate, Nona Ganz, is inviting Kirkland residents to join her in a volunteer effort to restore and preserve Juanita Bay Park's natural setting. The park, which was formerly a golf course, has become overgrown and is in need of care. An effort to restore the park's natural setting began about two years ago and is progressing nicely.

Nona seeks volunteers to join her "work parties" on Thursdays from noon to 2:00 p.m. If you'd like to help out, please email Nona at  nonaganz@frontier.com so she can have equipment available for you to use. Join the fun of restoring Juanita Bay Park and help restore one of Kirkland's most treasured resources. One invasive species at a time.

Thank you to the many volunteers who give of the time to help improve our parks, neighborhoods and commercial areas.

Juanita Bay Park is well-known as an outstanding place to observe wildlife from its many vantage points circling the southeast side of the bay.
