Heathman Hotel adds urban commuter bicycles to meet its guests' business and leisure needs

“Pedal of Honor”

The Heathman Hotel in Kirkland guests enjoy free rental (to four hours) of hotel-designated Swobo “Dixon” bicycles; helmets are provided, and bicycles are thoroughly maintained and inspected. This easy, twist-shifting bike model has nine speeds and an alloy frame and fork, making it light yet tough enough to withstand urban abuse. The bicycle initiative allows guests to sightsee while choosing eco-friendly transportation. Within a short ride of Google and Microsoft offices, guests can head to downtown Kirkland meetings, or just unwind and cruise around nearby Heritage Park and the lakefront. Deep baskets on the bikes allow storage of briefcases and totes, so guests can concentrate on riding comfortably without jockeying uncomfortable loads.
