According to the King County Medical Examiner, the body has been identified as 63-year-old Brad W. Lutz, of Kirkland.
The initial police investigation reveals the following information:
The deceased was a 63 year old male who, lives just a little further south on Lake Wash. Blvd. from where the body was found. He was possibly walking home. Detectives stated that it looks like he fell right in the location he was found and that he had been there for a few hours. At this time, there appears to be no foul play involved, but the case is still under investigation. The King County medical examiner was called and the detective assigned is awaiting their medical report. The only witness involved at this time was the person who found the gentleman. No name has been released at this time.
A dead body has been found on a public path along Lake Washington at 319 Lake Street South in Kirkland. The Kirkland Police and Fire Departments responded to a call at approximately 7:30 AM.
Bystanders noted that the body appeared to be of a male in his mid sixties. Some money was also found on the body. Police on the scene noted the man was dressed in a sport coat - not necessarily suitable for the extremely cold weather we have. No foul play is suspected at this time.
