Kiwanis Club Of Kirkland Hosts “Groovin For A Hip Cause”

How often do you get a chance to listen to great music while dancing the night away, as you bring back memories of the 60’s and help support a great cause – all in one fun filled evening?  Well, here is your chance and it will be really groovy!!


The Kiwanis Club of Kirkland will be hosting an evening of entertainment, a Groovin’ Hippy costume contest (costumes are optional), appetizers, a dessert dash and music by three local bands.  The event will be held at the Kirkland Eagles Club, 258 Central Way on March 26 starting at 6:30p.  The evening will feature Rear View Mirror, a classic 60’s rock band, ( with guest appearances by the Kirkland Kiwanis K-Band and The Coveralls.  All proceeds from the evening will go to benefit ATTAIN HOUSING, a local organization that has been providing transitional and permanent housing to homeless families with children since 1989.


ATTAIN HOUSING helps to bring our community together to partner with homeless families by providing affordable housing and empowering them with practical case management and hope.  ATTAIN’S vision is for a safe and supportive community, wherein opportunity exists for all families to achieve stable housing and self-sufficiency.  The Kiwanis Club of Kirkland has been a long-time supporter of Attain Housing and this is just another way they are raising money to help local families in need.


There will be a suggested donation of $20 at the door that includes admission, appetizers anddesserts.  All donations are tax deductible through Kirkland Kiwanis Foundation, a 501(c)3.  The event is open to everyone.
