Downtown Kirkland Neighborhood Beautification Project with the U.S.-Japan Volunteers; June 27

Volunteers are welcome to join a Downtown Kirkland clean-up lead by Sarah Okawa Ellerbrock, Project Manager for the Japan-America Society of the State of Washington

Please come join them for a neighborhood clean-up / beautification project in Downtown Kirkland!
Enjoy meeting like-minded volunteers while keeping our walkable community pleasant and beautiful.

- DATE&TIME: Sat., June 27 10:00a.m. - 11:30a.m.

- MEET AT: Kirkland Transit Center, Bay 1 (3rd St. at Park Ln., Kirkland, 98033)

10:00 Meet at Kirkland Transit Center, Bay 1 for a safety orientation (Attendance requested)
10:10 Start cleaning up, mainly the Transit Center area, Marina Park, and DT sidewalks
11:25 Clean-up ends. Return tongs and other items to the organizers
11:30 Head over to Rococo Cafe for coffee with other volunteers (Optional)

- PLS. BRING: Tongs, rakes, gloves, plastic bags if you have them. (We also have some extras.).

- City of Kirkland Volunteer Services Dept. recommended *no open-toed shoes / sandals for this project for your safety concerns.

About the U.S.-Japan Volunteers:  We are a group of volunteers made up of Japanese, American, and all other nationalities interested in serving the local communities and promoting cross-cultural communication among the Eastside residents.
