Camp Unity Eastside approved by City to encamp at Kirkland Congregational Church
The City of Kirkland has approved a Temporary Use Permit for the Kirkland Congregational Church to host Camp Unity Eastside, a homeless encampment. The encampment will be set up in the Church’s parking lot, 106 Fifth Avenue, across from Kirkland City Hall starting August 1, 2014. According to the permit, the encampment will have a maximum of 75 people and will remain at this location until October 31, 2014. Holy Spirit Lutheran Church at 10021 NE 124th Street has extended an invitation to the encampment after the Congregational Church.
