Bottle & Bull opens in Downtown Kirkland

It is six o'clock on a cold and rainy Tuesday night. Locals have gathered to pack the house at Bottle & Bull on their opening night. Kirkland's first true gastro pub is now open, serving brunch, lunch, dinner as well as a substantial happy hour/late night menu.

Bottle & Bull (21 and over only) is located on Lake Street in downtown Kirkland. Both the craft cocktail and food menus feature a wide variety of intriguing selections.

The warm interior colors and use of rich materials convey an attention to detail that goes beyond the food and drinks. We found the atmosphere of the long bar to be welcoming on this cold and windy November evening.

This self-described "Scratch Kitchen" serves up a variety of tasty dishes with Cuban influence such as Fried Onions (w/ habanero marionberry ketchup), a Cubano sandwich (roasted pork, ham, gruyere, pickles, dijon, baguette), Mussels (w/ chipotle white wine broth, cilantro, garlic) and a Mango Salad (mango, grapefruit, pickled onions, pomegranate, butter lettuce, cotija, lime cumin vinaigrette).

Experience the travels of Ernest Hemingway through your palette, eating and drinking your way through the cities that Hemingway loved to frequent; Havana, Paris, Florence and Pamplona (where he discovered his love for bull fighting!) to name a few.

Executive Chef Stephen Paulson and Bar Manager Silas Manlove are focusing on scratch cooking with hand crafted cocktails, as fluid as the seasons.

Like Ernest Hemingway our hunger knows no borders!

Those seeking Craft Cocktails will find a wide selection to choose from (!craft-cocktails-/c1j68)

Bottle & Bull pays homage to Ernest Hemingway with its carefully crafted food and cocktail menus. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you find yourself needing inspiration to write the next great American novel, come to Bottle & Bull. But leave your cigar at home -- this is Washington State, after all.

Bottle & Bull is Kirkland's first true gastro pub and one worthy of a visit.

We welcome B&B to downtown Kirkland. We'll see you there!
