It’s that time of year for the Howl-O-Wine fundraising event for Jasper’s Dog Park.  This fundraiser not only helps KDOG build funds to maintain the park but also keeps building the community.  This is a staple fundraiser for KDOG because who doesn’t love wine and dogs in costumes.

The event will be held on October 25, 2014 from 2-6pm.  It will be at Northwest Cellars, 11909 124th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98034.  We will also be having Marilyn and the G Strings for music, along with great food for people and dogs.  There will also be a costume contest with prizes.  Come out and support KDOG and buy a bottle of wine, with a KDOG label on it.

Was there ever a need for a dog park in our community!   During the first year of operation, KDOG estimates that the park has served over 30,000 visitors[1]  based on the outflow of at least twice as many waste bags.  And the year has seen another important improvement:  in December 2012, a new safer entryway was opened to the public– now visitors take a broad path through park land and over a small bridge to access the park.  This new entry was made possible by the generous financial support of Weidner Apartment Homes.

Jaspers Dog Park was built and is maintained by KDOG, an all-volunteer organization that funds the park operations solely through fundraisers, individual donations and business sponsorships.  Anyone can join KDOG and become a part of the Kirkland off-leash community.  We can be found on (search under “Kirkland Dog”).  Find out how to join, donate or become a business sponsor at KDOG at
