The Kirkland City Council has has written a draft letter to King County Councilmember Jane Hague and Executive Ron Sims regarding Kirkland’s difficulties with annexation. After a meeting with Hague and Sims, it was quite evident from the Mayor’s demeanor that they used strong tactics in an attempt to bend the Kirkland City Council to their will.
The City of Kirkland just released an Annexation Update stating, “After nearly two years of study, the Kirkland City Council signaled its intent to susspend the City’s annexation efforts.”
The Update goes on to explain how annexation was found to be too costly to consider during an economic downturn. Read the Update Here
