Neighborhoods are encouraged to host activities to raise crime and drug prevention awareness

Kirkland neighborhoods are encouraged to host activities on Tuesday, August 5 that raise crime and drug prevention awareness as part of the “National Night Out 2008” nationwide campaign. Activities may include cookouts, flashlight walks, or contests. National Night Out (NNO) is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in partnership with Target. For more information on how to participate in NNO or register your neighborhood’s event, visit www.nationalnightout.org To learn how your neighborhood can work with the Kirkland Police Department to prevent crime, contact Sergeant Rob Saloum at 425-587-3401.
