The public restrooms at Peter Kirk Park which serve park visitors and transit commuters will be closed for renovation beginning July 18, 2013. Exterior improvements were made as part of the Kirkland Transit Center construction project in 2010-2011; interior improvements begin now. The renovation will include new plumbing fixtures, and updated look with new lighting, toilet partitions, wall paint, ceramic tile color accents, new flooring material and American with Disabilities (ADA) improvements. Construction is expected to be complete in early September. Temporary toilets facilities will be available immediately adjacent to the existing building.
