Democrats rally in downtown Kirkland

On Friday, just 4 days before the election, the Washington State Democratic Party held a rally at Kirkland's Marina Park which gathered a crowd of over one hundred energized voters. Local representatives Larry Springer and Roger Goodman were among those running for office who warmed up the crowd as they awaited the headliners of the day arriving to town on Maria Cantwell's campaign bus. Sign wavers gathered and cheered as the bus doors opened and out came Susan DelBene, Jay Inslee and Maria Cantwell, all on the ballot. The group was accompanied by Senator Patty Murray, wearing her trademark tennis shoes, who is not up for re-election until 2016.
