A Kirkland man was shot at his residence around 10 p.m. last night in what appears to be a home invasion robbery in Totem Lake. The 26 year old man was at home with his girlfriend in the 12000 block of 102nd Court NE when the incident began. Two males forced entry into the home and pistol whipped the male in front of the female. At some point the male victim and the suspects moved outside and a gunshot was heard by the female inside. The suspects fled on foot and the male was located with a gunshot wound to the arm and torso. The Kirkland Police Department responded and the male was transported to Harborview Hospital by Kirkland Fire AID Unit for treatment. He was last listed in stable condition. Police quickly located a suspect vehicle and three suspects fled on foot from the car. Kirkland’s K-9 unit assisted by Redmond’s K-9 Unit began a track for the suspects. The track is still ongoing at this time. It is unknown at this time if the victim’s knew either of the suspects. Kirkland Police Detectives are at the location processing the crime scene and the investigation will continue into the night.
