Local student asks for community support -- Hope on the Slopes 24 hour ski and snowboard event March 3-4

Help your local American Cancer Society create more birthdays by supporting Hope on the Slopes, a 24 hour ski and snowboard event at Stevens Pass, this weekend March 3rd and 4th!

This year Hope on the Slopes is off to a great start with TONS of donations for our local American Cancer Society office.  My name is Eric Shinstrom, and for my senior project I created a website and formed a team to help promote the event for the local community.  Hope on the Slopes is a 24 hour ski and snowboard event that takes place at Stevens Pass to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.  With the money donated, the American Cancer Society will help families receive cancer treatments that they couldn’t pay for and provide funding for continuing the quest for the cure for cancer.

Hope on the Slopes is happening this weekend up at Stevens Pass starting Saturday at nine A.M., and running until nine A.M. Sunday.  Throughout the day, there are several fun events that are taking place like the spaghetti dinner and the candle light vigil to remember all of the people who have passed away with such a terrible disease.

If you want to sign up for the event (a $35 “donation” fee is paid to participate in the event) then please visit the Hope on the Slope website at    http://community.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr_id=41645&pg=entry.

If you can’t make it to the event, or would like to make a donation, please visit my website at www.hots4cancer.com and click on the “how to donate” tab.

Thank you all so much for your generosity and helping find the cure for cancer and creating more birthdays for one and all!
