The National Weather Service  anticipates the snow weather conditions to transition from snow to rain by Friday, January 20, 2012.  Because there is significant snow accumulation on the ground that is expected to melt when warmer temperatures occur, there is concern of possible local flooding, especially in low areas. Residents and businesses are encouraged to be prepared and can find preparedness information at www.takewinterbystorm.org. The City seeks the help of residents to clear the storm drain grates of snow and debris.  Storm updates are being posted on the City’s new Twitter account: @Kirklandgov.
