She has opened for The Four Tops, The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, and soul legend Al Green. She performed a duet with Huey Lewis. She has recorded hundreds of radio jingles that air worldwide every day. You can hear her voice on Nintendo Wii, film, stage, and television. Hers has been called "the best voice in the Northwest."
Her name is Emily McIntosh, and lucky for us, she's the girl next door.
Emily lives in Woodinville. When she's not recording, teaching, or traveling, she performs R&B, soul, pop, and jazz in the Seattle area.
This Thursday, December 1, Emily will perform jazz, pop, and holiday music in the Lounge at George's Place, 108 Kirkland Ave, from 6:30-9:30 pm. There is no cover charge. Arrive before 7 pm for Happy Hour, with drink specials and half price appetizers. Emily will return to George's on January 12th and February 9th.
George's has been a gathering place in downtown Kirkland since 1976. They serve traditional and Greek breakfast and lunch every day from 7 am to 3 pm, and dinner from 3 to 11 pm Tuesday through Saturday. They are one of the few places in town that offers regular live music - I wish there were more!
If you like vocal jazz and pop, be sure to check out one of Emily's shows.
