Annual Halloween Parade brings kids downtown for trick or treating

[scrollGallery id=184] A whole host of spooky kids, parents, dogs (and politicians) paraded down Heritage Park to the Pavillion at Marina Park in the Market Neighborhood Association's annual Kids' Halloween Parade. This year the precession found face painting, crafts, games, snacks and of course, plenty trick or treating candy. Mayor Joan McBride lead the parade along with council members Jessica Greenway and Bob Sternoff. Following the parade, the kids spread out over downtown Kirkland to shake down participating merchants for candy. With their adorable costumes and cute smiles, I'm sure the kids brought smiles to the merchants' faces.

This is a wonderful trick or treat tradition for both the young and old. Thank you to all who organized this event.
