BIKE & PEDESTRIAN COUNT PROJECT

If you can count, you can help us out with this study!  See how Kirkland measures up to other cities on the number of bicycle and pedestrian commuters.  Volunteers will be outside in the weather, or watching from their cars.

NW BOOKFEST 9/30-10/2

NW Bookfest is coming to Kirkland October 1-2.  The King County Library System is looking for volunteers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  All volunteers receive training on Friday afternoon, free event T-Shirts and are invited to an exclusive authors’ event on Friday evening, September 30 at 7pm. MONSTER BASH OCT 28

Volunteers are needed to help the many costumed folks (ages 5 and under) that will be arriving at the North Kirkland Community Center on Friday, October 28th. You can assist with the Ghoulish Cookie Walk, the Monster Bash, and some Extreme Swamp Fishing, as well as treats, arts and crafts and more. Shifts are from 9:30-12:30. Youth 14-17 may volunteer with adult permission. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. If you are interested, contact Tracy Harrison at tharrison@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3352.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ON-GOING?

CITY HALL INFORMATION DESK Assist at the City Hall Information desk with answering phones, transferring calls, and directing customers.  Learn about what your City does, answer questions, and provide great customer service to the citizens of Kirkland!  The ideal volunteer will have customer service experience, be friendly and love working with people.  18 and older, please.  6 month commitment requested.  Interview, references and background check required. MUNICIPAL COURT FILING ASSISTANT Kirkland Municipal Court is looking for a volunteer to help them file court documents and file folders.  Accuracy is important.  Teens are encouraged to apply.  Gain great work experience in the exciting atmosphere of a municipal court (court handles misdemeanor crimes only)!
