911 call reports stranded child on downtown rooftop, leads to rescue

The Kirkland Fire Department and Police Department responded responded to an emergency call reporting a child on a downtown Kirkland building rooftop on Tuesday night. A four year girl named Alexandra was left alone in a vehicle while her aunt and grandmother were in a nearby office building. The child left the car and wandered through a yard and fell 8 feet onto the rooftop of a business below at 132 Central Way. She was seen by a passerby and rescued by Kirkland Fire. Her aunt and grandmother were located a few minutes later. Alexandra was transported to Evergreen Hospital for injuries to her face and mouth. A KPD investigation of the incident is still ongoing.
