The City of Kirkland is conducting a downtown parking survey to get feedback regarding how parking should be "convenient, accessible, and readily available."
We spoke briefly with Tami White of the City of Kirkland as she was handing out mail-in survey forms at the Lake Street & Central Way parking lot. During our discussion we learned that the Parking Advisory Board is seeking input from the public on how Kirkland can improve parking in downtown and that folks are encouraged to share their views by completing the mail-in survey or by visiting the online survey at http://www.kirklandwa.gov/parking.
The fact that the City is seeking community input regarding parking is excellent. We wholeheartedly support all efforts by the City to gather public input before enacting policy and we encourage every city department to follow suit. Please take the brief online survey now.
After you have completed the City's survey, please share your opinion in our non-scientific poll to the right and in the comments below.
