Wednesday, September 7 - Neighborhood Meeting
Finn Hill residents are working with the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance about assuming the responsibilities of a neighborhood association that will be officially recognized by the City of Kirkland. Modifications to the mission statement and the bylaws are being considered, as well as a name change to Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance. All Finn Hill residents are invited to hear about and comment on these proposals. Also, Finn Hill residents have invited City staff to present on Transportation Funding and Neighborhood Services. The meeting will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 12600 84th N.E., at 7pm.
Sunday, September 18 - DennyFest
This is DCNA’s annual community celebration at O.O. Denny Park. It runs from 11:30am to 4pm. It’s free and it’s fun. There will be great bands, good food (including chili and pie contests), a dog show, arts and craft activities and a trail hike. Representatives from Kirkland will be on hand to answer questions about city programs. Elected officials and candidates have been invited so residents can talk one on one with the people who are running for office in November.
Wednesday, September 21 – Kirkland City Council Candidate Forum
Finn Hill residents and DCNA have organized a candidate forum for all City Council candidates running in the 2011 election. The forum will provide Finn Hill residents a chance to get to know the candidates. Questions will be solicited at the September 7thmeeting and via email ahead of time. The meeting will be moderated by the League of Women Voters. The meeting will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 12600 84th N.E., at 7pm.
