Join in the Annexation Celebration, June 1 - 3

Open House, Wednesday, June 1, 4-7 p.m. Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Kirkland

City Council and other elected officials will host a welcome at 5:30 p.m. followed by cake and coffee.  All residents are invited.  Informational and interactive displays will be set up in the main areas of the upper and lower floors of City Hall and in the Peter Kirk Room and Houghton Room.  Come meet your City elected and appointed officials, talk with City staff, and learn your way around City Hall and about your government.

Business Breakfast, Thursday, June 2, 7:30-9:30 a.m. Casino Caribbean, 12526 NE 144th Street, Kirkland, WA 98034

Kirkland business owners and representatives are invited to a complimentary breakfast hosted by Casino Caribbean.  Kirkland City Council Members will speak about Kirkland’s business community. Police Chief Eric Olsen and Captain Mike Ursino will share some insights into the Kirkland Police Department.  Seating is limited.  Reservations can be made by emailingbusinessbreakfast@kirklandwa.gov.

Community Celebration, Friday, June 3, 6 p.m. Juanita Beach Park, Forbes House, 11829 97th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA  98034

Bring your family and join your friends at the community celebration event!  Kirkland City Council Members and other elected officials will give welcome remarks at 6 p.m.  The City Council will serve complimentary strawberry shortcake.  Kamiakin Jr. High School Jazz Ensemble and Juanita High School Pep Band will perform, 7–7:30 p.m., followed by Kirkland’s own Back Burner bluegrass band.  The evening will include a free classic movie – “The Sandlot” – thanks to a very generous contribution from Carillon Properties.  Activities will be held on the north side of the park where the Juanita Friday Market is located.  The Market will be open from 3 to 7 p.m.
