REMINDER: Volunteers needed to COMPLETE the Milkin Home Rebuild on Saturday, May 28

For the last 16 months, we have worked to rebuild the Milkin  home after the tragic and horrific events of July 2006 in which Sgt. Milkin's  wife, two young boys and sister in law were brutally murdered in their Kirkland home that was then set on fire and destroyed in an attempt to cover up the crimes.

In honor of Memorial Day, local veterans, led by staff and students from the Construction Industry Training Council of Washington (CITC) along with  veteran Joe Cantwell of CDK Construction,  are gathering to completely finish the Milkin home.  We will build  the garage, build the deck stairs and complete the  landscaping.  More than 40  local companies and business owners have joined together and generously donated materials to make this happen.  They would like to help bring Sgt. Milkin some peace by completing the home, in memory of his family.

WE NEED YOUR  HELP on Saturday, May 28th  at 9:00a.m.  WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to join us.  There are also volunteer opportunities on Friday, May 27th beginning at 9:00a.m. for skilled professionals to do some prep work for the garage build that will take place on Saturday.  Please come prepared to work outside and bring gloves, rakes, wheelbarrows.  Anything that can be used for this outside work.  Any amount of time you can spend helping us will be appreciated.  Refreshments and food  will be provided!!!!
