A Legacy for Learning Luncheon raises $145,500 to improve education

Lake Washington Schools A Legacy for Learning Luncheon a Success

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation held its annual A Legacy for Learning Luncheon at Juanita High School on April 20.  Through generous donations of the community and business sponsors, over $145,500 was raised to support Foundation programs that improve education for our children.  Over 530 community members were in attendance and had the opportunity to hear Dr. Bonnie J. Dunbar speak about her own education and path to becoming an astronaut.  Dr. Dunbar is currently the Executive Director of Wings Over Washington, an affiliate of the Museum of Flight.  Dr. Dunbar emphasized the importance of education and the community of people that support education.  Please visit www.lwsf.org to see Dr. Dunbar’s speech and a video of the whole luncheon.  The Foundation thanks the donors who make everything possible.
