A new Optimist Club is being formed in Kirkland and interested members of the community are invited to learn more about this fun easy way to have a major impact on the lives of children. Please join them for an information meeting at 7PM Tuesday February 15th at the Metropolitan Marketplace 10611 NE 68th St in Kirkland. They will be in the private room on the lower floor where the house wares are sold.
Cookies, coffee and water will be served while the group talks about what an Optimist Club can do. If you would like more information, please visit www.optimist.org.
In this age of budget cutbacks in schools and social services, it is more important than ever that we as a community step up to help youth make good choices in their lives. Optimist Clubs provide an opportunity to bring people together to work with our youth to empower them to be successful, responsible members of the community. We also do business together and we have a lot of fun at the same time.
Thank you to Liv Grohn for sending us this information
