Kirkland City Hall is Host Site for National Live Debate, Feb. 4, 7 p.m.

On Friday, February 4, the City of Kirkland will be the host site to Northwest University’s annual debate event.  This year’s topic as decided by NWU – “Reject social networking websites” – will be debated by NWU’s Eagle Debate Team and the Chinese National Debate Team.  The debate will be judged by NWU faculty.  While the judging panel is conferring, audience members may give a one-minute floor speech.  The live debate will be held at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Council Chambers at 7 p.m.  The public is welcome to attend the debate.  The event will be available to view on Kirkland TV On-Demand at www.ci.kirkland.wa.us/tv.
