Forgotten Children's Fund Brings Christmas Presents, Joy and Cheer (Photos)

UPDATED

Matt Messina and Tammy Anderson of Kirkland dressed up as Santa's helpers to join Forgotten Children's Fund (www.forgottenchildrensfund.org) in delivering presents to over 500 families on Christmas Eve. The organization collects donations and support from area businesses including Microsoft and the support from volunteers like these two jolly not-so-old elves. The two were in downtown Kirkland getting something warm to drink before heading down to Georgetown to meet up with other volunteers to spend the day delivering gifts to some of the less fortunate children in the area.

"Last night we watched the movie "Elf" to get in the spirit," said Matt with a twinkle in his eye. In that movie, Buddy the elf says, "the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear."

I think that Matt and Tammy may have found an even better way.

... and they were not the only Kirklanders who dressed up on Christmas Eve to deliver presents.

Among some of the many volunteers were Christine Addison, Bob Sternoff, Joene LaBou, Bob Gray, Gary Craig, Sarah Sternoff, Joe Schwab, Sylvia and Kiki Madrid,  John Sockwell and Alice Sockwell.
