Heroes for the Homeless

Heroes for the Homeless needs your help collecting men’s coats, gloves, and socks for those less fortunate this winter.

An estimated 9k people are homeless in King County; almost one-third live outdoors.  Heroes for the Homeless has chosen to serve the most vulnerable of these individuals where they reside. The all-volunteer staff drives to areas beyond downtown Seattle to hike long distances into wooded areas, along highways and under bridges- places where people are most in need of food, clean drinking water, clothing, hygiene, and outdoor survival supplies.

Until the end of November, we are accepting donations of COATS (adult men's medium or larger), GLOVES, and WARM WOOL SOCKS. Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at the following local business:  Padria Mediterranean Cafe (located in Juanita Village), 9708 NE 119th Way, Kirkland.

All coats must be in good condition and appropriate for severe weather (hooded, water resistant, and lined).  We serve 90% males so men's coats only please.  Due to space limitations, please contact info@heroesforthehomeless.org to arrange pick up of large donations.

More information about the charity is available at www.heroesforthehomeless.org.  Please call 425-985-7852 if you have any questions.  Let's do all we can to keep our everyone in our community warm this winter.  Thanks for your support Kirkland!
