Trellis’ Executive Chef Brian Scheehser Joins The James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour

Executive Chef Brian Scheehser of Trellis Restaurant at The Heathman Hotel in Kirkland will be a featured Guest Celebrity Chef alongside Guest Celebrity Chef Richard Blais of Atlanta-based Flip Burger Boutique as part of the Seattle stop of the national Celebrity Chef Tour. The tour is a benefit for the James Beard Foundation. Host Chef James Hassell of the Columbia Tower Club will emcee the affair.

“I’m delighted to work alongside Chef Blais at this once-in-a-lifetime event,” Scheehser said, “It’s an honor to bring Trellis’ wine country-inspired cuisine to an entirely new audience, and raise funds and broaden awareness for the James Beard Foundation in the process.” Scheehser plans to use fresh from the farm apples from his newly acquired additional five-acre orchard; as well as fresh Northwest salmon.

The Celebrity Chef Tour began in 2004 as a way to bring the unique experience of dining at New York City’s historic James Beard House to cities around the country. The Tour travels to cities around the country bringing unique dinners to venues. At each event, some of the nation’s top chefs come together to create a fantastic multiple course dinner paired with premium wines, beers, and spirits. As done at the James Beard House, guests have the opportunity to meet and mingle with world-class chefs. Each Celebrity Chef Tour meal is an unforgettable work of artistry and craftsmanship. Proceeds benefit the James Beard Foundation’s programming and educational initiatives.
