Letter | Call for volunteers to help Kirkland's the 4th of July

[nggallery id=65]

Editor's note: This is a truly rewarding volunteer opportunity. Kirkland's 4th of July parade and fireworks brings so much joy to countless young and old from across the Eastside. Every year I am astounded by the number of visitors who come to Kirkland to enjoy an old fashioned Independence Day. The smiles on the children's faces are a sign of what a special place it is that we call home. If you are able to give a few hours of your time, it really is a lot of fun. Kate and I will see you there!

The 4th of July is quickly approaching and we need a few more good volunteers to help with the parade and decorate the town!!  Bring your friends, your family, or get to know your neighbors.  Shifts are from 9:30am-1:30pm.  We need parade monitors for crowd management and to direct vehicles away from closed streets, and parade movers to direct the floats along the route and keep the parade moving.

We also need Volunteers to Decorate the Town both on Saturday, July 3rd from noon to 1:30 pm and Sunday, July 4th, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.

Volunteers must be 16 and over, please.
