St. John’s Episcopal Church of Kirkland introduces the 2010 Guatemala Missions Team: Become part of the mission and experience the awe and wonder of Guatemala

Bethel Ministries International invites St. John’s Episcopal Church of Kirkland to expand their outreach in Guatemala, and YOU can help.

Kirkland’s community-conscious, St. John’s Episcopal Church extends its outreach to Guatemala for the second year. Fifteen team members will distribute wheelchairs, build a house, visit orphanages for the physically and mentally challenged, and distribute food and clothing.

As part of its fund raising efforts the 2010 Guatemala Mission Team will be hosting "A Guatemalan Experience" on June 6, 2010 at 12:30pm.  The event, which will begin at noon in the Marsh Hall (Great Hall) at St. John’s Episcopal Church, is a highly sought after event with limited seating. This interactive fundraiser will bring awareness and clarity about the needs of many living in Guatemala, where over half of the population lives in poverty.  A traditional Guatemalan dinner will be served.  Donations from the event will be used directly for this Guatemala Missions Trip. Tickets are a suggested donation of $20 per person / $50 per family of four and are available in the church narthex on Sundays May 2-30 or by contacting the church office.  This event is open to the public.
