Furlough Days: Kirkland City Hall to be closed eight days in 2010

City-Hall-Closed Due to the significant budget problems experienced by the City of Kirkland, the City Council has enacted measures intended to balance the budget as required by law. The choices made by the council included both increased taxes and reductions in spending. As a budget reduction, furlough days will be in effect for 2010 which will result in the day-time closure of several City buildings on these dates:

2.       Friday, May 28, 2010

3.       Friday, July 2, 2010

4.       Tuesday, September 7, 2010

5.       Monday, October 11, 2010

6.       Wednesday, November 24, 2010

7.       Thursday, December 23, 2010

8.       Thursday, December 30, 2010

City Hall (except the Police Department), the Public Works and Parks Maintenance Centers and the 505 Market Street building will be closed to the public on these days.  The Police Department, Municipal Court and fire stations will be open.  Community centers will be open for instructor-led programming.
