Martin Luther King Day of Service: Cotton Hill Park Restoration Monday January 18 10am-3pm

Cotton Hill Park (110th Ave NE and NE 98th St, Kirkland 98033)

  • Snacks, beverages, and some tools provided.
  • Bring a lunch, and it's good to bring your own gloves and clippers.
  • Extra shovels and stiff rakes are also always welcome.
  • WEAR BOOTS!!! It will be very wet and muddy!

Volunteers will be working with UW students and the Highlands Neighborhood to remove invasive plants from the UW Restoration Ecology Network student project site. Under 14 must have parent supervision; 14-17 must have signed parent permission or be accompanied by an adult.

You do not need to sign up in advance unless you are bringing a group of people.

Driving Directions

Cotton Hill Park (110th Ave NE & NE 98th St., Kirkland):

From I-405, take the NE 85th Street/WA-908 exit (exit 18) and go west towards downtown Kirkland.

Turn right onto 6th Street (light at bottom of hill) Turn right onto 12th Avenue.

Cross the railroad tracks and park at the dead end straight ahead.
