Local Rotarian Goes to Cooperstown to Hang With Griffey

Kirkland Rotarian of the year Rick Walter took his family to upstate New York to witness the first Mariner inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame.  While there, he stopped by the Cooperstown Chapter of Rotary vendor booth where they sell tiny  baseball bats to commemorate the inductees. Just like the Puget Sound Duck Dash the Rotary Club of Kirkland holds, this is their major fund raiser of the year. All kinds of good works come from the sale of both ducks and bats. Rick purchased four of them (all Griffey of course). “Rotary is family and I just met some distant relatives”.

As a reminder, The Rotary Duck Dash is on Summerfest Saturday at Marina Park, August 13 at 2pm. Be sure to buy to your tickets from your local, friendly Rotarian.
