EvergreenHealth announced today that Tina Mycroft, CPA, CGMA, has been named new senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for the Kirkland-based health system. Mycroft was selected through an extensive national search, and replaces Chrissy Yamada who retired from EvergreenHealth in August after serving as CFO since 2004.
Mycroft is a seasoned health care executive with more than 20 years of leadership and financial management in both the acute care hospital and large medical group settings. She most recently served as CFO of St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare, a California-based nonprofit medical practice foundation comprised of more than 750 providers within eight medical groups and more than 1,300 physicians in an affiliate network model, integrated with 10 hospital sponsors across the St. Joseph Health system in California.
“Tina has an impressive and proven track record of facilitating strategic planning for organizational growth, including leading joint ventures and acquisitions, sustaining financial operations and performance, and building highly engaged teams,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte. “We are honored to have her join our leadership team.”
Prior to her four years as CFO for St. Joseph Heritage, Mycroft was CFO and vice president of finance for St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, Calif., a 525-bed tertiary care medical center – one of many leadership positions that she held during her 15-year tenure with the organization. She also spent six years with St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif., a 347-bed acute-care community hospital, where she managed finance, accounting, payroll and accounts payable functions. Early in her career, she was a CPA with Ernst & Whinney where she focused primarily on health care-related clients, including acute care, skilled nursing and mental health facilities.
Mycroft brings extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of revenue cycle, medical group finance and managed care network support, including claims processing, enrollment, managed care credentialing, audit and compliance and population health.
She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. She has been active in the communities in which she works, including serving as the vice president of Acacia Elementary School Site Council in Fullerton, as a member of the Las Lomas Verdes Swim Club Budget Committee, and a past member of the Board of Directors for Health Associates Federal Credit Union.
Mycroft is in the process of relocating to the Puget Sound area and she is expected to officially join EvergreenHealth in mid-September.
