The Sounds of a Sound Transit Rail Street Crossing

The above Sound Transit rail train street crossing video and audio was taken in Seattle in June, 2016. For a two car train to cross the street, the bells ring for one minute giving drivers and pedestrians ample warning that the street is about to close.

According to the www.NOST3.org opposition group, the $54,000,000,000 ST3 plan costs $529,000 per new transit rider.

According to Sound Transit, light rail will be extended from Bellevue north and stopping at the South Kirkland Park and Ride, crossing 108th Ave. NE. The ST3 plan calls for completion of this spur in the 2040 timeframe.
