We very much appreciate the water patrols of the Sheriff's boat in an effort to maintain safety on the lake. And we don't wish to nitpick, however, we have heard one small request: When the Sheriff is cruising close to the shoreline, as seen in the photo above taken at O.O. Denny Park on Sunday, please remain outside the buoy as is required by other motor craft. As one frequent swimmer at this park has noted, any motorboats inside the buoys and so close to shore is a safety hazard and discourages swimmers from using the park.

O.O. Denny is the location for the annual Children's Hospital Park to Park Open Water Swim in August.
